Qualifications and Experience

I completed a Bachelors degree in Drama and Psychology in 2001. At the time I was considering training in Psychodrama, an action method developed by Jacob L. Moreno often used as a form of psychotherapy. I was fascinated by the creative exploration of the ‘self’ when words and actions are utilised to develop insight and encourage self-expression. I completed an Honours degree in Psychology in 2002 and developed a greater interest in self-expression in the context of psychopathology. After working as a Care Coordinator for an NHS Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in West London I pursued training as a Clinical Psychologist. I completed a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2005 and have completed the British Psychological Society’s Statement of Equivalence (BPS SOE). The above qualifications enable me to practice as a Clinical Psychologist and Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol). Chartered Psychology Status is the highest standard of professional recognition for psychologists in the UK and requires high levels of academic attainment, periods of supervised practice, applied experience and a commitment to life long learning.

I have been providing individual therapy since 2004 and joined Nightingale Hospital, a leading private mental health provider in Central London, in 2007. I facilitated therapy groups on the Interpersonal therapy programme, Eating Disorders Unit and Young Persons Unit between 2007 and 2013.

I continue to deliver individual therapy to adults and adolescents at Nightingale Hospital in Marylebone . In addition to working in Marylebone I provide individual psychotherapy to adults and adolescents in my practice in St John's Wood.

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as well as the British Psychological Society (BPS). I have full membership with the Division of Clinical Psychology (DCP) and full membership with the Faculty for Eating Disorders (FED). I remain committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) aimed at expanding theoretical knowledge and enhancing therapeutic skills. I am particularly interested in the psychology of women and the application of psychodynamic; interpersonal and attachment based principles to psychotherapy.

I provide support to individuals who seek to resolve issues that cause emotional discomfort or distress. These issues may be the result of a recent event or maintained by longstanding difficulties.
