What happens next?
If you would like to discuss the possibility of coming to see me, please send an e-mail or leave a telephone message. I may suggest a brief telephone conversation to discuss a mutually convenient time and other administrative matters.
The initial session will provide us with an opportunity to explore if working together will be helpful to you. We may also discuss how you could potentially benefit from engaging in therapy. However, if we decide that I am not best placed to help you, I will do my best to offer recommendations as to what may be of use to you.
I offer time-limited or open-ended psychotherapy. The duration of therapy will depend on the depth and the complexity of the issues you want to resolve. Weekly sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes.
The contents of therapy sessions are confidential. I will not discuss any information about you without first receiving your permission to do so. However, I have a legal obligation to alert other services if you are at risk of harming yourself or someone else. Whenever possible, I will discuss this with your first.
I am registered with private health insurance companies. Please contact your insurance company to check the referral procedures or contact me if you wish to discuss fees.
The time of your session will have been secured for you by our mutual agreement, this session time is set aside exclusively for you. I will try my best to offer you an alternative time should the need arise for you to reschedule. When you must cancel, I request that you give me at least 48 hours notice. If you cancel within 48 hours, you are responsible for the full session fee. Missed appointments will also be charged at the full appointment fee. Please note Insurance does not cover the charge for a missed or cancelled session.
