Qualifications and Experience

I completed a Bachelor's degree in Drama and Psychology in 2001. At the time I was considering training in Psychodrama, an action method developed by Jacob L. Moreno and often used as a form of psychotherapy. I was fascinated by the creative exploration of the ‘self’ when words and actions are utilised to develop insight and encourage self-expression. I completed an Honours degree in Psychology in 2002 and developed a greater interest in self-expression in the context of psychopathology. After working as a Care Coordinator for an NHS Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in West London I pursued training as a Clinical Psychologist. I completed a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2005 and have completed the British Psychological Society’s Statement of Equivalence (BPS SOE). The above qualifications enable me to practice as a Clinical Psychologist and Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol). Chartered Psychology Status is the highest standard of professional recognition for psychologists in the UK and requires high levels of academic attainment, periods of supervised practice, applied experience and a commitment to lifelong learning.

I have been providing individual therapy since 2004. I joined a leading private psychiatric hospital in London in 2007 where I delivered individual therapy and group therapy to adults and adolescents until 2017. I have been providing individual psychotherapy to adults and adolescents in my practice in St John's Wood since 2016.

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as well as the British Psychological Society (BPS). I have full membership with the Division of Clinical Psychology (DCP) and full membership with the Faculty for Eating Disorders (FED). I remain committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) aimed at expanding theoretical knowledge and enhancing therapeutic skills. I am particularly interested in the psychology of women and the application of psychodynamic; interpersonal and attachment-based principles to psychotherapy.

I provide support to individuals who seek to resolve issues that cause emotional discomfort or distress. These issues may be the result of a recent event or maintained by longstanding difficulties.
